PIAZZA DEL POPOLO
The Duomo on the Piazza del Popolo is absolutely stunning. The grand paintings depicting sweeping, multi-story scenes are breathtaking - you won't want to pull yourself away. The crypt under the main chruch is well worth the 2 Euro fee!
Also known as "del comume", Palazzodel Popolo (People's Palace) is not only the most ancient building on the piazza but also one of the oldest public buildings in Italy. The building is conected to the Palazzo del Capitano,Ā and together these buildings house the Municpal Picutre Gallery, the Civic Museum, and the Art Gallery of Todi.
This majestic Gothic building stanfing opposite the Cathedral was built at the end of the 13th century and exhibits a bronze eagle, the emblem of the city, by Giovanni di Gigliaccio cicra 1339.Ā The building hosted the Chief Magistrates, Priors, and Governors of the Papal States over the centuries, and currently houses the Magistrate's Court and the Municipal Offices.

The city made into an island by an earthquake! Just 45 minutes from Todi.
